I should've made this post before, as it's now almost a month into 2014, but whatever. I've forgotten about this place.
I didn't really like 2013 all that much. 2013 was a...not so good year for me, to say the least. I'm hoping 2014 is going to be better. So far, things are looking like they're gonna be pretty good. I've got a few things I'm looking forward to, the two biggest things right now being The Lego Movie and Evillecon. I'm way more excited than I should be for The Lego Movie...
Art-wise, I didn't do a whole lot in 2013. I have a lot of stuff I want to do, it's just...hard for me to motivate myself to do anything, you know? I'll try better this year. I think I say that every year...
I've made a bucketlist online. I've kept one in a little journal but haven't really kept up with it much, so maybe I can keep up with it easier/less likely to forget about it if I've got it online? I don't know. Here it is, if you wanna check it out: bucketlist.org/list/Theatrical…
I have things I want to do. I need to finish Wind Waker HD. I got the Zelda Wii U, which is awesome because the black-and-gold gamepad matches my black-and-gold Zelda 3DS perfectly. I absolutely love it. My only two games right now are Wind Waker HD and Disney Infinity, and I'm totally fine with that at the moment. I play Disney Infinity entirely as Vanellope, I haven't used any of the figures that came with it! xD Now I just need to get the figures of Ralph, Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa... I really want the ones of Rapunzel and Elsa, though. Did I ever say how much I loved Frozen? No? I did. I loved it. A lot. "Let It Go" is amazing. ♥
Looking back on 2013, I realize that maybe it wasn't as completely awful as I've been thinking. I went to my first anime convention (Evillecon) and I did my first cosplay (Vanellope von Schweetz). I got Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pokemon X on their release days. I went to the Pokemon National Championships. I played the newest Phoenix Wright game and want to cosplay as Athena some day. My friend forced me into watching Digimon Frontier, and...I ended up liking it. (My friends are never letting me live that down...)
You know what? To heck with it. 2013 may have had a lot of horrible stuff in it for me, but looking back, the good outweighs the bad. Let's just hope 2014 has more good than bad, too. Happy New Year, everyone, even though it's 22 days late.
"And if I never find my way back home
You can tell 'em that I'm gone but I never went alone
I'm on the road with my best friends close to me
Missing home but exactly where I'm supposed to be..."
